Girls Rock Denver is a day camp for girls, trans, and gender expansive youth, ages 8-17. Our mission is to empower youth in our community through music education, creation and performance. You can find more information, including a description of what camp entails, at our website: www.girlsrockdenver.org.

Our volunteers:

• Understand, believe, and LIVE Girls Rock Denver's mission.
• Share our philosophy of encouraging self-discovery through hands-on experience, problem-solving and risk-taking.
• Are reliable, dedicated, show up on time, and work and rock hard.

Girls Rock Denver welcomes volunteers from all walks of life. We are committed to providing a safe space for everyone, as well as educating our volunteers, supporters, and our community to create an inclusive environment. While some of our direct mentoring and management roles at camp are limited to women-identified/gender expansive folks, we offer a variety of positions during camp week and year-round that are open to individuals of all gender identities. We do have limited volunteer opportunities, but there are a variety of positions available.

Volunteer applications for our 2019 camp are due May 31, 2019.

Saturday, May 11: 10-11 a.m. at Hooked on Colfax (3213 E Colfax Ave, Denver, 80206)
Thursday, May 30: 7-8 p.m. at Mutiny Information Cafe (2 S Broadway, Denver, 80209)

If you are from out of town or can't attend any of our sessions, please email girlsrockdenver@gmail.com to set up a phone or video chat before the application deadline of May 31. Returning volunteers are welcome to join us!

How to apply:
Complete this electronic application no later than May 31. Once you start this application, you've got to commit to completing it since you won't be able to save.

We'll be in touch with position information and scheduling on/by the mandatory orientation. Applicants are not all guaranteed a position as all our volunteers must pass a criminal background check and we have limited positions available.

Additional paperwork is not due until the training in mid-June.
