Brief description of past work with youth or in school settings *
When are you available? (These are bell times at Murray; volunteers should arrive at the school 10 minutes before bell time. The Period 5 / lunch slot is a bit weird because students eat lunch in shifts, so different classes have Period 5 at different times -- if matched to a Period 5 class, you'll get more info from your cooperating teacher!)

Any extra language skills? On any given year, about 25 world languages are spoken by students at Murray. If you have competency in a language other than English, we'd like to match you with a language learner -- often ELL teachers co-teach with other content teachers, so you might, for example, be helping with science in Spanish if that matches your interests and language skills.
Are you volunteering on your own or through a CEL class or some other University program?

The cost will be covered by the Classroom Partners program, so your only responsibility is to fill out the form and mail it to the school district.

Murray Middle School On-Site orientation
Before beginning to work in a classroom, volunteers are expected to participate in an on-site orientation session with the Assistant Principals at Murray Middle School. Two sessions are scheduled so far; a
Murray Middle School On-Site Orientation.
It is mandatory for all volunteers to attend an orientation with school staff before working in a classroom. At orientation, you will also meet you cooperating teacher and make plans for your first day in the classroom.

The final dates for the sessions are not yet selected, but all possible dates are listed below. Please mark all that you might be able to attend! We'll work with you to find an alternate solution if you absolutely can't make these work, but if you can be at one of the planned sessions, that'll reduce the burden on the school staff.
