Please join us for our second year of SPRING BREAK Camp!
This year's class will be limited to 25 participants per session. Please note that there are two sessions. Please see below for age brackets.
10 -11:30 AM | 6-9 y/o
12:30-2 PM | 10-16 y/o
Each student accepted will agree to pay a $50 acceptance fee. If you are someone in need of assistance, please let arts@cityofmesquite.com know.
This event is currently open to students of the age of 6-16. This is to make sure that the instructors can offer the best curriculum to students possible. At this time, Cara Mia instructor + teacher assistant has gone through background checks. Mesquite Arts Center's staff will be involved in the program, giving additional help to the educational experience.
Mesquite Arts Center does not have councilors on staff. All classes welcome families. There will be a "quiet zone" available for families that may need it.
As of 4/10/2024 we will be hosting a FREE camp sign up event for the first 20 people that attend the "Just For Kids" 6/1/2024 event from 10-12 PM at Downtown Mesquite Farmers Market. This sponsorship is courtesy of America's Credit Union. This is "First-Come, First-Serve" basis.
Please note rules for accepting "scholarship" from America's Credit Union
1. Must be in attendance from July 8 - Aug 2 ,2024. If you are going on "vacation" and cannot attend, please discuss with staff. (Selected Time for age bracket)
2. All Children in 2024, must be 6 years old or older.
3. Although Families are allowed as a whole. Cara Mia would like to be able for children to create "by themselves". Minimum parent assistance is requested.
4. If you have a child that is not in the class due to their age. We will provide a "craft / coloring" area that they can enjoy. If they are a distraction, we request that they go into our "quite zone" in our upstairs library until they calm down. This area will also have a space that has activities...
5. If you have children that are in separate classes due to age. Please note, this is due to the curriculum being created for that age bracket. This is a request from Cara Mia to make sure that children stay in the age bracket. If your child is on the cuff of the age bracket and can handle the older class, please sign them up for that class.
6. Parents are in charge of restroom breaks.
