To better plan for and assess interest in the 2024 White Gloves Day of Service, we are asking you to share if you would like to participate in the event and in what capacity. This is not a formal commitment, but will be used to gauge interest in the event.
The White Gloves Gang is an all-volunteer service group that provides assistance to museums located in the area surrounding MAAM's Annual Meeting (for 2024, Philadelphia, PA). The White Gloves Gang Day of Service is held on the first day of the Annual Meeting (Tuesday, October 8, 2024). All museum professionals and museum studies students, especially those with hands-on experience with or interest in collections care and management, are welcome to participate.
There are two primary ways to get involved: 1) Serve as Project Site (provide projects to be completed) 2) Participate as a volunteer (complete projects at sites). Projects sites identify projects that can be completed in the scheduled time frame. Volunteers assist in the completion of projects.
This is a great way to further connect with local institutions and conference attendees.
