Hi Everyone,

IT'S TIME FOR READING OLYMPICS.  This competition, sponsored by the Chester County Intermediate Unit, is a great way to celebrate the love of reading. All 4th through 6th grade students are invited to participate.  

This year's meetings and competition will be back IN PERSON.   Dates for the evening competition will be made available as soon as possible.  Students must read at least 6 books from their grade level lists in order to participate in the competition in April/May.  

We will officially start meeting in November.  Teams will meet ONCE A MONTH.  Team meetings will be held after school on MONDAYS from 3:40-4:30pm on the following dates ( November 7th, December 5th, January 9th*, February 6, March 6th, April 3th, May 1st.  Caregivers will need to be available to pick students up in the school lobby at 4:30pm. At the end of the year, when the competitions are complete, all teams will have a pizza party to celebrate their successes.

Coordination and details for book distribution will be shared at the first meeting.  

The cost for Reading Olympics this year will be $30.00.  This covers the cost of the competition expenses, a custom AG Reading Olympics 2023 t-shirt and will go towards purchasing additional copies of the Reading Olympics books. Payment can be sent in with your student OR dropped off in the main office.  All checks should be made out to AGSD with "Reading Olympics 2023" in the memo line.

ES HORA DE LAS OLIMPIDAS DE LECTURA. Esta competencia, patrocinada por la Unidad Intermedia del Condado de Chester, es una excelente manera de celebrar el amor por la lectura. Todos los estudiantes de 4º a 6º grado están invitados a participar este año.

Este año las juntas y competiciones estarán de regreso EN PERSONA. Las fechas para esta tarde de competencia estarán disponibles lo más pronto posible. Los estudiantes deben leer por lo menos 6 libros de la lista de su nivel para poder participar en esta competencia de abril/mayo.

Empezaremos a reunirnos oficialmente en noviembre. Los equipos se reunirán UNA VEZ AL MES. Junta de Equipos se llevaran a cabo después de la escuela los LUNES de 3:40-4:30pm en las siguientes fechas (7 de noviembre, 5 de noviembre, 9* de enero, 6 de febrero, 6 de marzo, 1 de mayo. Los cuidadores necesitan estar disponibles para recoger a sus estudiantes en el vestíbulo de la escuela a las 4:30pm. Al final del año, cuando las competencias sean completas, todos los equipos tendrán una fiesta de pizz para celebrar sus éxitos.

Coordinación y detalles para distribuciones de libros será compartida en esta junta.

. El costo de las Olimpiadas de Lectura para este año es de $30.00. Esto cubre el costo de los gastos de la competencia, una playera personalizada de AG Reading Olympics 2023 e irá para comprar copias adicionales de libros para las Olimpiadas de Lectura. El pago puede ser mandado con tu estudiante O traerlo a la oficina principal. Todos los cheques deben ser firmados a nombre de AGSD con “Reading Olympics 2023” en la línea de memo.
