Listening and Healing Pilgrimage 2024

The Council for Native American Ministry invite all within the Diocese of Arizona to the Listening and Healing Pilgrimage that will take place in 2024. This Pilgrimage is to recognize and study the Indian boarding schools located in Arizona and will take place at multiple sites throughout the year. Each Pilgrimage Site will include an opening prayer, welcome and a bit of history, a period of  time listening to the stories of survivors and their families and a meal.

Six to eight survivors/family members/tribal representatives will be invited to share at each site. A local spiritual leader will be invited to open our gathering in prayer followed by introductions. We will spend as much time as needed for the guests to speak and share while we listen. A meal will be shared and the day will close with prayer and the gifting of Prayer Quilts (see information about Prayer Quilts).
