Please use the following form to provide more information about you as an applicant for a summer staff position. As a reminder, applications are due by January 8th, 2023. We will conduct brief interviews the week of January 9th - 13th and will issue decisions by January 15th.
The role will begin assisting Nick and I with pre-departure preparations, including but not limited to curriculum and lesson preparation for camp, reserving accommodations and other administrative tasks as assigned. The majority of the role will take place during the summer from June 14th to August 1. You will begin with a staff training week in Canazei from June 14th - 20th. From there, you will participate in the rest of the summer program as described in the itinerary. However, when you go to camp, you will be solely responsible for our group of 4-6 participants in Canazei for a two week period. This entails making sure group participants get oriented to the camp, and to their teaching responsibilities. If anyone in the group has food allergies, your job will be making sure the kitchen staff is aware and our participants get taken care of. You will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of their lessons and teaching. Finally, if there are any disputes or negative interactions between our group and the rest of the camp staff, between members of our group and campers, or between two or more of our group members, you will be responsible for helping to resolve the issue. Nick and I will always be available for phone support, but we will not be physically present.
In return for your hard work as a volunteer summer staff member, we will waive all program costs and fees, equivalent to $1,995. You just have to cover your airfare to and from Italy!
