Why should you be an SAA?
An SAA serves as a volunteer during District Convention to make sure that attendees are safe, aware, and reminded of the Code of Conduct and Dress Code and the Hotel and Convention Rules and that they are enjoying this district event. SAAs will be assigned a shift that they will complete during the duration of the event. Upon completion of a shift, they will receive an appreciation gift from the SAA Chair, Jessica Olivas.

For this District Convention 2021, we will be continuing the SAA Pen-Pal System! This pen-pal system is NOT mandatory to volunteer as an SAA for DCON 2021. However, if you choose to participate in this program, you will get to be paired up with another SAA volunteer whom you might not have met yet in the CNH district! Thus, being an SAA provides you a very unique and rewarding experience, which you can directly impact members attending and show your leadership skills—the opportunity to serve the district as a leader and a guide at DCON. Ultimately, signing up to be an SAA will enhance the experience for everyone! It also earns you service hours to achieve MRP for the next following Circle K term.
What is an SAA?
SAA stands for Sergeant-At-Arms. To ensure wholesome safety at this year's District Convention, SAA volunteers will be needed during the event! Clubs are required to provide SAAs if they bring 4 or more registered attendees to this district event. For every 4 attendees whom a club brings, that club is required to provide 1 SAA volunteer at the minimum.

In order to fully carry out their duties, SAAs are required to have carefully reviewed the following documents: (1) SAA Guidelines and (2) Code of Conduct and Dress Code. Prior to beginning their shifts, SAAs are also required to attend on-site training (SAA meeting) that will occur each day of District Convention from March 19th-21st at times TBA.
