Registration
IMPORTANT! If you are going to register for a booth please know that we are charging a $30 donation fee. With
this donation, you will receive 2 wristbands (to sample other chili) and Chili Cook-Off swag.

Registration form must be completed and submitted by OCTOBER 6TH, 2021.
Early registration is encouraged as space it limited to 15 booths.
Teams will be registered on a first come, first served basis.
Registration will close when we have reached the 15 team maximum.
If registration is closed and you would still like the opportunity to participate, you will be placed on a waiting list
and notified as soon as possible if space becomes available.
RULES
Bring a minimum of 2 gallons of chili.
Only one chili per team can be submitted to judges.
Be ready to serve chili by 2PM
Bring heat source for keeping chili warm. Including electric burners, crock pots, stoves, canned fuel, etc.
Electricity is available but limited. Please let us know when you register if you will need electricity to your booth.
Must keep chili at a safe temperature.
You are allowed to have condiments like peppers, cheese, cornbread, etc. to accent your chili. Sample cups,
spoons, and water will be provided by Puma Pride PTA.
JUDGING
Judging cups are distributed to each team at check-in.
Once judging cups have been issued, each team is responsible for theirs.
Teams will participate for Bragging Rights (and a certificate) in these categories:

Red Chili:
1st Place - Judges Choice
2nd Place - Judges Choice

Variety Chili:
1st Place - Judges Choice
2nd Place - Judges Choice

People's Choice - Each team will be provided a "People's Choice Award" jar, where attendees can vote with
their money for your chili.

Judging criteria is based on:
Color
Aroma
Consistency
Taste
Aftertaste

***JUDGES WILL BE FIRST RESPONDERS FROM OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY***

BOOTH
Each contestant will be assigned a “booth space” to present your chili. Contestants are responsible for bringing your tent, tables, chairs, decorations, extension cords, etc. if desired. A minimum of a table is required to serve your chili to judges, tasters, and other contestants.
Your re-heating area (heating source) must be located at the rear of the booth area.
All themed decorations must be kept to the front of the booth away from any open propane-fueled flame used for heating the chili.
All themed decorations must be family friendly.
PARKING
Limited parking is available in the Firestone Charter Academy parking lot.
Side streets and Mountain Shadows Park allow overflow parking.
CHILI COOK-OFF TIMELINE
1:00 PM Check-in, decorations and booth set-up
2:00 PM Welcome from Puma Pride PTA and introduction of judges followed by chili sampling (Chili must be heated and ready to serve at this time)
3:00 PM People's Choice jars collected from booths to be tallied
3:15 PM Winners announced by Puma Pride PTA
3:30 PM Booth tear down
