Rotorua Lakes Council will set the cost of the sewerage scheme to East Rotoiti and Rotoma Property owners at the end of June 24 as part of their Long Term Planning process.
With the cost of the scheme surging from around $35m with 30% uncertainty to around $56m today the projected cost to property owners has more than doubled to around $30k.

The final cost to property owners will be determined by the elected councillors as part of the Rotorua Lakes Council Long Term Plan to be finalised by the end of June 2024.
Lake Rotoiti Community Association will represent the views of our community strongly in the Long Term Planning process to achieve a fair outcome for our community. We will be working with Ngati Pikiao and the Rotoma and Rotoehu community associations to achieve this initiative.
