GLO #1 is titled "Self-directed Learner".  That means a student has the ability to be responsible for one's own learning.  In the library, there are over 26,000 books neatly shelved and organized so readers can find what they are looking for.  If a single book is put on the wrong shelf, it is lost and almost impossible to find.  While you are browsing the shelves for books to borrow, DESCRIBE A BEHAVIOR THAT SHOW YOU ARE A SELF-DIRECTED LEARNER in the library. *
GLO #2 is titled "Community Contributor".  That means a student has the understanding that is essential for human beings to work together.  In the library, each book is shelved and organized by Mr. Tanaka and Mrs. Anderson (library assistant).  It takes several minutes per book to check in, sort, and shelve properly.  While browsing the shelves for books to borrow, DESCRIBE A BEHAVIOR THAT SHOW YOU ARE A COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTOR in the library. *
GLO #3 is titled "Complex Thinker".  That means a student has the ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving.  In the library, you may be searching for a specific book or genre.  Some books may be on the highest shelf.  Some books may be difficult to locate by simply browsing around.  DESCRIBE A BEHAVIOR THAT SHOW YOU ARE A COMPLEX THINKER in the library. *
GLO #4 is titled "Quality Producer".  That means a student has the ability to recognize and produce quality performance and quality products.  In the library, there are many kinds of resources -- books, computers, tablets, toys, games, art and craft material.  You may be working on a project for an assignment, for a special library event, or for your own learning.  DESCRIBE A BEHAVIOR THAT SHOW YOU ARE A QUALITY PRODUCER in the library. *
GLO #5 is titled "Effective Communicator".  That means a student has the ability to give and receive information with other humans in a way that can be easily understood.  In the library, there are many people to communicate with -- the librarian, any adult, students, people who might be looking at your work.  DESCRIBE A BEHAVIOR THAT SHOW YOU ARE A EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATOR in the library. *
GLO #6 is titled "Effective and Ethical User of Technology".  That means a student uses a variety of technologies for its intended purpose and without causing harm.  In the library, there are many technology tools -- laptops that connect to the Internet for information searching, websites and apps that let you communicate with others, websites that let you create documents, movies, and drawings.  DESCRIBE A BEHAVIOR THAT SHOW YOU ARE An EFFECTIVE AND ETHICAL USER OF TECHNOLOGY in the library. *
