RSD forbids and will not tolerate harassment (bullying) or discrimination of any of our employees or students.  Any form of discrimination or harassment related to an individual will be treated as a disciplinary matter.  This policy prohibits all forms of discrimination and harassment. This policy also prohibits retaliation for complaints of discrimination or harassment, complaints of other violations of law or RSD policy, or for a person’s participation in any investigations conducted by School officials or governmental agencies/officers.  Employees and students/families may report complaints of any violation of law or of this or any other School policy to the building administrator, the Superintendent/CEO, or anonymously online through a form on our school website.

RSD is committed to an educational environment which is free from physical, psychological or verbal harassment based on race, sex, or any other legally protected characteristic.  Harassment can assume many forms.  Please refer to Appendix A of the Student and Family Handbook for the definitions and examples of discrimination, harassment and bullying, cyberbullying, and retaliation.

Retaliation against any person for complaining about discrimination, harassment, or violations of law or RSD Policy, or participating in an investigation is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action.

All incidents will be investigated in accordance with RSD policy as outlined in the Student and Family Handbook.
