Building Connections With Young People 12/6/22 @ 6 pm EST
***Please do not sign up unless you are committed to attending. This helps me plan for facilitation. Thank you!***

Hello! If you've been wondering about how to support and uplift young people in our community as this much-talked about mental health crisis unfolds, I have some good news and hope for you--there are so many ways adults can take small, everyday actions (in addition to larger scale efforts) to improve the lives of youth living in our towns. Take an hour next week on Tuesday, Dec. 6th at 6 pm EST to chat with me about mattering and Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs), two relatively new ways of thinking about how the relationships we build can interrupt cycles of anxiety, depression and hopelessness in the lives of young people we care about.

When youth feel like they matter, they are more likely to: stay connected to the communities they are from, take healthy risks that support learning and development, form intergenerational connections, become leaders on issues they care about, have better mental and physical health for the rest of their lives, etc. In public health, mattering is known as a key protective factor. This is a conversational, informal, virtual gathering led by Sultana Khan. Donate as you are able to support this community work--everyone is welcome to attend.
