I will do my BEST to keep an honor roll grade average, and uphold all John W. Bate Middle Schools rules when there physically, virtually, or participating with the team in any way.  Additionally, I will follow all team rules presented by my coach.  Simply answer YES below.  If you cannot answer YES to give your best effort; then, I thank you for your interest, but don't bother submitting your form.  Occasional lapses will be dealt with, but they should be very rare as grades and behavior for academic team members are held to a VERY high standard. *
I can attend and will check at a MINIMUM the events below that pertain to the part of the team I plan to TRYOUT for as they are the main reason for being on the team.  YOU SHOULD CHECK AT LEAST THREE EVENTS BELOW unless you are a 6th grader who only wants to do the showcase.  Of course, there will be other preparatory events throughout the season as we find them through the school week after school, and on weekends.  Preparatory events are NOT mandatory, but they are how I decide who my main starters and testers will be, so if you don't attend many of these TBA prep events - don't expect to be a starter or get much playing time.  Later, there will be further tryouts for National Quick Recall events in May and June.  Otherwise, our season is over for most team members after state in March, and some sixth graders stop after their event in December.  We usually have one or two travel tournaments a month, but COVID will probably cancel all of those.  However, I am sure I will find some virtual ones to replace them. *

If your parents checked ways they can help out in the previous question:  Please give me their names and experience in each area.  If they have none just say they are willing and in which areas :)  If they can't help at all just say that. *
Even with less tournaments to travel to due to COVID there will be expenses this year.  In what ways would you the student AND/OR your parents be willing to help fund raise? *

Okay, I have tried to cover as much as I can here to avoid having a parent meeting, or to at least make it a very short one if needed.  There will be tryouts most likely in quick recall, FPS, and composition.  It just depends on the number of participants that show interest.  There will DEFINITELY be at LEAST 3 rounds of tryouts for testing no matter what.  Each player on the team can participate in 3 events which means it is conceivable that one player can take three tests at district and/or showcase.  I have never not had to have tryouts for testing.  Tryouts times and dates will be announced later.  I hope to have things up and running before September is over.  Check all that apply: *
