As student visa regulations are under the control of the Ministry of Education (MOE), we confirmed that long-term or short-term exchange students will not be able to apply for student visas or be permitted to enter Taiwan at the present time.
If Taiwan government approved the entrance of exchange students, please make sure you understand that you might face some challenges:
1.Risk of being infected through traveling.
2.Extra costs (COVID-19 PCR test before departure; Quarantine Hotel; Quarantine Taxi; COVID-19 PCR test after quarantine)
3.Difficulty of applying visa if you need to travel to other country.
4.All travelers to Taiwan are required to follow strict pandemic prevention policies. The "Taiwan Centers for Disease Control" has further information including exemptions (https://www.cdc.gov.tw/En)
