what is dronestrobe? dronestrobe was a record label i operated between february 2020 and april 2021, releasing around 100 projects digitally before putting the label on hiatus. while i've gone around attempting other larger scale label projects, i've never been able to pin down any as successful as DS- i attribute this to frequent surprise releases, free access to all albums and a wide variety of different obscure artists with an outlet to express things that sonically interest them. i want to recapture that!

what kinds of music do you intend to release? generally, if i enjoy it i'll release it regardless of genre, but i do ask that you refrain from full on shitpost music, drone/harsh noise wall and other forms of music without much forward progress- elements of these in releases are of course fine, but i want to focus on things i find less of in the electronic scene.

payment? i do not intend to make ANY kind of money from dronestrobe unless it's from CD/cassette sales further down the line. in that case i intend to split the profits after shipping 50/50 by default, however i'm open to negotiate. just tell me what works for you! but digitally i intend on listing albums on dronestrobe as free download, with a blank album at the bottom of the page to turn on a very, VERY cheap discography purchase (at most £5, probably less- which i think is a bargain for 100+ releases). for individual album sales i wish to direct the user towards the artist's page directly.

do you distribute to streaming? sure, if you want! i am currently operating on a soundcloud pro account with unlimited streaming profiles.

can you master my release and do art for it? sure! i would like to be paid if possible, but i realise a lot of people don't really have that as an option, so i'm willing to do it for free most times.

what file format should i send my album in? wav only please! a document including the written down track titles/order is very much appreciated as well.

any limits on length? 15+ minutes is preferred, but I can swing for lower if I like the music enough. Generally we prioritise LP length releases and mini-albums, but we're happy to issue singles as part of a pre-order for a larger release.
