Notes/FAQs:

1. WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA? WHO CAN FILL THIS APPLICATION FORM?
This Indian University Students Internship Program : (INVIA-F4) may be filled by those Indian university students or post university potential professionals who are Indian nationals and wish to participate in any of our initiatives / projects in India as a volunteer-intern.

2. IS THERE ANY NEED TO SUBMIT A CV/RESUME ALONG WITH THIS FORM?
Yes, alongside filling this form, please do also send us an email with a title "Application for Academic Fieldwork Internship"  at "internship@educare.in" with your cv/resume and a cover/motivation letter detailing your areas of work interest, intended internship dates and expectations.

3. IS BOARDING AND LODGING IN THIS VOLUNTEER-INTERNSHIP FUNDED BY THE NGO?
Partly! We are a self-sustainable non-profit NGO (not receiving any external funding / aid). This volunteer-internship program has been developed to provide a safe, qualitative and affordable volunteer-internship opportunity to university students / young professionals who wish to gain experience and explore their own leadership potential in grass-root level community empowerment and sustainable development work, while contributing to the organisation work-mission.

Incentives like economically affordable and safe accommodation, project planning, knowledge and material resources, academic/technical mentor-ship support, internet connected workplace are available to volunteer-interns who are from the Indian universities / higher education institutions whom we have a formal partnership MoU, or/and are referred by their faculties.

The typical living, food and admin fee costs are cheaper than a usual paying guest accommodation and food charges are as given below:
1-month = Rs 7500/-, 2-months = Rs 7250/- per-month,  3-months and above = Rs 7000/- per-month

The first month advance food and accommodation is payable as Rs 7,500/- for all applicants irrespective of duration of their stay. A caution fee of Rs. 3000/- as refundable may be applicable to some of our boarding-lodging facilities for security caution at the time of confirmation of internship. The subsequent monthly support, accommodation and food payments are paid to the facility coordinator at the site admin office 1-week before the start of the next month and likewise.

4. IS THERE ANY OPTION FOR COUPLES AND STUDENT GROUPS? WILL THERE BE ANY CONCESSIONS?
Yes, we can accommodate couples and student groups too if they fit the internship.
Yes, there will be concessions on facilitation support, boarding and lodging prices with small percentage waiver to groups of 3s and 4s up to 3-months internship.

5. DO I GET ANY STIPEND IN THIS  VOLUNTEER-INTERNSHIP? IS THERE ANY CAREER GROWTH IN THE ORGANISATION?
Yes, a stipend is paid to limited positions, for internships over 6-weeks duration, and involves additional organisational development and social enterprise work. We have made efforts to facilitate some earnings / stipend for the medium and long-term interns. An aligned social enterprise component of your project may include eco-agri-business and rural market research for women micro-entrepreneurs, product development, market linkages under our Young Women's Initiatives, Eldercare, disaster management and humanitarian assistance, Kangra Gardens and ReStore initiative, Ecobuilding and landscapping, ayurveda. Media, communications, IT and HR.

The performance based stipend will relate to your social business productivity job-role and is usually targeted to help you earn for covering your living expenses but will not exceed Rs 9000/- / $125 pm.

Limited opportunities for a 1-to-2-year fellowship work is available after completion of 3 to 6-months stay. The volunteer-interns are welcome to apply for a stipend paid Fellowship position after 3-months stay (depending on their work performance and skill-sets) for 1 or 2 -year extended engagement. Some performing individuals with prior professional work experience and with appropriate skill sets are welcome to apply for a stipend paid Fellowship position after 1-months stay (depending on their comprehension of organisation work, work performance and skill-sets) for 6-months extended engagement. In such scenario there are additional responsibilities and incentives that include enrollments and mentor-ship of short term volunteer-interns / volunteers, along with other management/leadership positions in the organisation.

The stipend starts from about Rs. 7500/- per month depending on performance. The selection is purely based on on work ethics, attitude, conduct, skills, commitment and performance.

6. WHAT IS THE SELECTION PROCESS?
Step 1-
a) After submission of this form and receipt of your email with cv/resume and cover letter, we will send you an email mentioning date/timings for a Tele/WhatsApp/Zoom/Skype/Duo call that are suitable to us with the applicants or the sponsoring faculty member to assess expectations and suitability. After the interview, we will send you another email if you could continue with your application process. In case it is positive email, then you may seek the applicants to fill further additional information in an online form. After analysing your details, we will send you a provisional confirmation email/letter with an agreement form to fill and sign. {Also, at this stage you will be required to pay a caution fee, if applicable in your case}.
OR
b) In case of a group recruitment in partnership with university placement office/department, we seek student applicants to submit this online application form. Along side, we send you an Internship Agreement, internship guidelines.

Step 2-
On receipt of your agreement form (and the caution fee, if applicable), we send the the joining instructions.

7. HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO KNOW THAT ONE IS SELECTED FOR THE PROGRAM?
The selection process time depends on speed of your email responses/communications and documentation with the HR/Internship/Recruitment Coordinator.

8. HOW LONG CAN ONE WAIT TO CONFIRM AFTER PROVISIONAL ACCEPTANCE?
The applications are open for various positions 1-year in advance. It is advised that once provisionally selected, the interested applicants confirm their position at the earliest as we intend to fill our positions at the earliest and thus we will confirm these on first come first serve basis on a rolling basis. A provisional confirmed candidates position is kept filled pending confirmation for few-week time and again goes to open pool.

9. CAN ONE CHANGE THE DATES AFTER CONFIRMATION?  
Yes, one can change the dates twice after confirmation to a date within next 12-months time.
