Envirothon Workshop Registration
REGISTRATION
WHEN: Thursday, March 24, 2022 - 9am-2pm
WHERE: Longwood University Lancer Park Environmental Education Center, Cormier Drive, Farmville, VA 23901
WHO: All current and prospective Envirothon teams located in Area V of the Soil & Water Conservation Districts:

This is a training workshop, teams will rotate amongst the four stations: Wildlife, Soils, Aquatics and Forestry. At each station there will be a training presentation given by a natural resource expert along with several questions to test the Team’s knowledge. A presentation on the special topic will be given to the entire group.
1. Teams will need to bring a clipboard and writing instrument to each respective station.
2. Team members will be required to wear masks when indoors.
3. Teams should dress accordingly for the day’s events. The workshop will be held rain or shine and most of
the stations are outside. Cancellations due to weather will be in accordance with the participating schools.
4. Lunch will be provided. Please bring your own water bottle.
Note:
A group of 5-7 high school students' make-up an Envirothon team. Five team members participate in the four stations and the oral presentation at the Envirothon Competition. One or two alternates help the team prepare and step in if a team member is unable to participate in the competition due to an unforeseen reason.
More than 1 team may attend. If the entire team can't attend other team members can still participate.
In addition to this registration, teams need to complete the paper media release form and the paper release or assumption of risk forms. These forms can be turned in to your local Soil and Water District in advance or brought to the workshop. If these forms are not provided, the student cannot participate.
