Pampa ISD Parent Input and Feedback on 20-21 School Year
As you know, there has been much trepidation and conversation about returning to school in the fall.  As we received guidance from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) throughout the entire COVID-19 experience, we have worked hard to communicate how that guidance has impacted us here in Pampa ISD.

On July 7, we received guidance from TEA on providing both face-to-face and online learning options for our students for the 20-21 school year.  This guidance has some health and safety requirements along with some considerations for districts as they plan for their local campuses.

In this survey, we ask for your input on several of these considerations.  Please know that we value your opinion and want to hear from you about your thoughts, hopes, questions, concerns, and ideas for returning to school in August.  Please take a few minutes to respond to this survey no later than July 16th.  In this survey, we provide some guidance on the options our students will have and ask you about your opinions on various aspects of going to school.  We will use your input and feedback to design our plans.

Our hope is to publish our 2020-21 return to school plans in early August.   At that time, we will also ask each family to let us know if they want to return face-to-face on campus or if they prefer to learn through a remote option.  Things are changing every day, but we know that you have questions and we genuinely want to get you answers as soon as we can.  Please answer the survey based on your thoughts and concerns TODAY.  You will not be asked to make final decisions until we publish the final plan in early August.

Thank you so much for your patience and support as we develop plans for a safe and successful 2020-2021 school year!  #TogetherWeCan make this a great school year for our students!

Required
Please indicate the grade level(s) for your student(s).  Choose all that apply.
IN SCHOOL FACE-TO-FACE LEARNING:     From a health perspective, how comfortable are you with your student(s) returning in the Fall to face-to-face instruction (whether in small groups or with all students)?  Please select the statement that best describes your thoughts. *
REMOTE/ONLINE LEARNING:     How comfortable are you with your student(s) engaging in remote/distance/online learning in the 20-21 school year?  (This would involve accessing online learning modules and require DAILY interaction and progress.  Please know that the way we "did school" in the spring will NOT be how we conduct school in the 20-21 school year.  We all did the best we could do last spring, but TEA has developed requirements for the 20-21 school year that will required all students to be engaged in a minimum number of minutes of instruction daily if learning through a remote option.  Additionally, all student work and assessments will be graded following the same expectations as students who are attending face-to-face school.  Remote/distance/online learning will require parental/adult supervision and assistance based on the age and level of independence of each student.   So, knowing this, how comfortable are you with your student(s) engaging in remote/distance/online learning in the 20-21 school year? *
