Please read the additional following information closely before taking a registration slot: By completing this form, you are registering a Team to participate in the 2021 Aviation Design Challenge. All students on a Team must be in high school and each Team must have at least three students, with at least one student of a different gender (excluding single-sex schools). More than four students can be on a Team, but only four students can participate in the first-place prize. Schools must be in the United States, and each school may only enter one Team. Competing Teams can be either high school classes or after-school programs. GAMA will send registered teachers complimentary “Fly to Learn” curricula and flight simulation software, powered by X-Plane. GAMA will not provide any equipment beyond the software, but the software can be used with a computer, computer mouse, and keyboard. Teams are welcome to purchase additional equipment (e.g., rudders, yokes) at their own cost and discretion. Teachers will guide students through the curricula, which includes approximately 10 lessons. Participants should plan to spend about an hour on each lesson. Teams will then apply what they have learned by modifying the design of an aircraft and competing in a virtual fly-off. GAMA judges will select the winning teams based on fly-off submissions. All participants grant GAMA the right to use any information submitted as part of this competition, including but not limited to contact information, photographs, videos, and written descriptions for any lawful purpose including promoting GAMA and competition sponsors. *
