Band list: Please send a list of members who are competing in the band with the entry form to ensure they are admitted free at the Gate.

I/We agree to the rules of the Greater Moncton Highland Games, as outlined here.

1. Competitors should visit the posted schedule at Steward’s tent on arrival, for information on playing time & order. Failure to report in time for your competition as listed on the schedule may result in disqualification.

2. Competitions are under Rules and Regulations of the Atlantic Canada Pipe Band Association (ACPBA). Be aware of the ACPBA Rules and Regulations as it pertains to you or your band.

3. Failure to show up at event location, on time, may result in disqualification.

4. Runners will not be provided. Competitors must present themselves to the steward or the judge two minutes prior to their posted event playing time.

5. Individuals exceeding the ACPBA tuning time may be disqualified.

6. Competitors will be prevented from competing or receiving awards if not wearing proper highland dress as described in the ACPBA Rules and Regulations.

7. Playing order will be first registered, last to play.

8. Practice/tuning to be performed in designated areas only so as not to interfere with other events.

9. No entry fees will be refunded unless event is cancelled.

10. Band tents will not be available. Space will be provided for those wishing to bring their own.

11. Sponsors will not be responsible for loss, damage, or injury at the games.

12. Massed Bands at 5:30pm (or completion of competitions) on June 15, 2024. A reminder that participation is a condition for travel expense payment.

13. No coolers or unlicensed liquor on the grounds by order of ANBL.

14. All bands are to leave the band area clean (all garbage placed in cans).

15. Upon entry form signed and sent, I hereby release and forever discharge the Greater Moncton Highland Games and Scottish Festival and the Greater Moncton Scottish Association from any manner of action, claim, or demand arising from or in conjunction with the Greater Moncton Highland Games and Scottish Festival or related events.

All solo competitors are eligible for Piper/Drummer of the Day. 

Solo Event Prize winners earn an amateur medal and points toward ACPBA Champion Supreme.

All bands are registered for Bass /Tenor and Dress/Deportment competitions.

Limit of Bands: We may limit the number of bands competing to a maximum of 12 due to time constraints. First entered, first confirmed.

Band Allowances: Bands must play in the massed bands at the closing ceremonies (approx. 5:30pm on June 15, 2024) to quality for travel allowance. Travel Allowance is calculated based on the distance to Moncton (one way) & is paid following band competition by cheque on competition field. Please see the Steward's station to claim your travel and/or winnings cheque.

o   240-319 KM = $300  
o   320-399 KM = $350  
o   400+ KM = $400
