WE NEED VOLUNTEER CHAPERONES!
Enrichment Class Adult Volunteer Policy and Agreement:
All enrichment classes are PTA-sponsored events and are covered by the PTA’s general liability insurance policy. For the protection of our students, one adult PTA member is required to chaperone every enrichment class. *If you would like to sign up as an adult volunteer for any of the sessions, and you fulfill all requirements below, please let us know!*
The requirements of adult volunteers are listed below:
Must be 18 or older and a current PTA member ($15 for a single person, $25 for a family, scholarships available).
Must submit a school district background check once during the current school year. Please allow for two weeks of processing time.
Must be at class from 5 minutes before class starts to 10 minutes after class ends. Must be physically present during the entire class. The adult volunteer is a witness to the class, so their attention needs to be on what is happening in the class; they should be able to assist the instructor(s) with whatever they need.
Must check in student participants at the beginning of class and sign them out to their adult guardian at the end of the class. If a guardian is late, it is the chaperone’s responsibility to wait with the child and make note of tardiness on the sign-in sheet.
Must help instructor(s) set up and clean up.
Must follow all attendance and end-of-class policies.
