Massage Study Group, AMTA - MN
You are invited to a virtual education event hosted by your American Massage Therapy Association - Minnesota Chapter!

Join us on March 20, 2021 from 3:00 - 4:00 PM CST for the first of many study CE study groups, hosted by your Minnesota Chapter of the AMTA.  This event is free to attend and the CE courses we will be covering are also free and offered through the National AMTA.  

Learn how you can protect yourself from legal malpractice action. Even the best massage therapists make mistakes or are perceived by a client as having caused injury through their professional services. This course includes actions you should take if you suspect you’ll be sued — or if it comes to pass that you are actually sued.

This course is facilitated by Sarah Haar and Erin Hewitt.  The author is Jennifer Flynn is Manager for Aon/Affinity Insurance Services, Inc., Healthcare Division, specializing in risk management. Having worked in the healthcare insurance business for over 10 years, she is dedicated to educating healthcare professionals on professional liability risks and offers strategies to mitigate those risks. She has presented at professional organization meetings on healthcare risk management and other insurance related topics.
The facilitators will not be able to give you any advice on matters containing to malpractice within your business.  You will need to contact HPSCO directly.

3.  Sign on to the virtual meeting link emailed to you in the confirmation letter on March 20, 2021 at 3:00 PM CST
4.  Take the online course with others registered in a facilitated discussion about the course content
5.  Quizzes and final test will be completed by yourself.
6.  Once a passing grade is achieved, you will receive a certificate from AMTA - National.  The MN chapter is not responsible for distribution of certificates or for any grades that do not pass.
