Opening Prayer:  Please invite one family member to lead the opening prayer.
Session Theme:  U - Unity and Universal Prayer
Our theme this month was looking at a couple ways the letter U in Eucharist can help us better understand what the Eucharist is and also for us to better understand the parts of the Mass.
Different Ways to Pray and Types of Prayer Activities
One of the questions that came up a lot in September's what/why question activity was variations on what does it mean to pray, why do we pray, how do we pray, etc.  So we will be including a different type of prayer and/or way to pray each month to give you more options at home.
Meditative Prayer:  This month's Prayer experience is a guided meditation.  It is in the video with Fr. Sebastian's presentation.  Watch/listen to the mediation by Mrs. Gail Jilka and follow along.
Please click the link to go to vimeo since we can't embed it directly into the Google form: https://vimeo.com/648874990/2956e027af
Has anyone in your family prayed this way before?  What was the reaction to this type of prayer?  Do you want more resources/types of prayer like this? *
Fr. Sebastian's Presentation
Each month we will be receiving a short presentation from one of our priests or deacons.  This month, Fr. Sebastian gave us a reflection on what it means that the Eucharist is a Sacrament of Unity. Watch his video (follows after Mrs. Jilka's prayer meditation, begins at minute 5:53) and then answer the following questions.
Fr. Sebastian's Video:  Question 1:  What is our first sign of unity when we celebrate the Eucharist? *
Fr. Sebastian's Video:  Question 2:  What are some of the other points of the Mass that emphasize unity? *
Fr. Sebastian's Video:  Question 3: Discuss as a family if there were any parts of Fr. Sebastian's talk that stood out to you and why.  Please feel free to share any insights or ask any questions that you have about his presentation.
