Sign up for a lauhala bracelet workshop at the Hala Festival on May 18th, 10am-2pm at Makuʻu Market in Puna. Four 45-minute class slots to choose from, see below.

Kumu Annie Kaaukai is offering a hana noʻeau activity featuring ulana lauhala (lauhala plaiting) of bracelets. Aunty Annie is a lifelong practitioner of ulana lauhala in Puna and has been leading community classes in ulana lauhala, ulana lau niu, haupia, net making, and others for many decades.

Each participant will weave a lauhala bracelet with the guidance of Aunty Annie and her ʻohana.
