El Camino College K-14 Career Pathways Parent / Student Info Session
WHAT IS A K-14 CAREER PATHWAY? K-14 Career Pathways help high school students to get an early start on college and prepare for a career in a high demand industry. High school students enrolled in a K-14 career pathway program take a series of Dual Enrollment college courses that lead to a college certificate, degree &/or transfer to the university. Students participate in work-based learning activities, such as industry guest speakers, job readiness digital badges, worksite field trips, and, when available, internships &/or summer jobs. Additional student support services, student success coaches, tutoring, and college preparation provide support and inspiration to help students succeed in college.
THE K-14 PATHWAY PROGRAM IS FREE! El Camino College K-14 Career Pathway program and dual enrollment classes are FREE. Some high schools or school districts will pay for the textbook (if needed). Please check with your school principal or high school counselor.
