Welcome to the first step to joining PPWSL.

Tryouts for the 2024 Season will be 
  • Tuesday, March 12 at 5 - 7 PM @ Kevin F Conroy Ballfield at Greenwood Playground
  • Saturday, March 16 at 10 AM - 1 PM @ Quaker Parrot Park at the Dust Bowl
  • RAIN DATE - Sunday, March 17 at 10 AM - 1 PM @ Quaker Parrot Park at the Dust Bowl

Note - Trying out does not guarantee you a spot on a team that season. There are more players trying out than open spots on teams. If you are not drafted to a team at the beginning of the season, your name will automatically remain in the draft pool, and you may be drafted later in the season until June, or next season.

Are you a PPWSL Alumnus? Returning players are prioritized in our draft.

For PPWSL alum - You may request to be placed on your previous team, but this does not guarantee placement. The team must have a spot open with your ranking or higher. If you would like to be drafted to a specific team please write the team name here.
New Diversity Initiative - PPWSL has historically conducted a blind draft to match players with teams who have openings for their skill level. We are proactively working to have the league better reflect the community we play in. While the blind draft structure remains the same, we will be prioritizing placement of Black, Indigenous, and Players of Color first.

Waiver/Release Statements
Please read and select 'yes' as your acknowledgement and agreement to ALL of the waiver/release statements below to qualify to register and participate in the PPWSL Tryouts.
I have read the following and I agree to hold harmless the Prospect Park Women's Softball League (PPWSL), its directors, volunteers, and personnel from, by, and against any and all liabilities (statutory and likewise), claims, suits, demands, judgments, costs, interests, and expenses in connection with PPWSL tryouts and/or softball season activities. *
 I understand that the PPWSL games are played on various weeknights (no weekend games) from April through August in Prospect Park, Brooklyn from 6:00-8:00 pm. 

Note -Players are not expected to attend every game of the season, there is a requirement to play in a minimum of 6 out of the 14 games of the season in order to participate in the final August tournament (which is on a weekend). 

Individual teams may have their own additional expectations around practice and game attendance.
