Let's have some fun!  Compete with other club members (members only please) in a COVID-19 compliant tennis tournament!  Entry is free for all events; however we are happy to accept your donation.  100% of the donated funds will be placed into our club general fund to offset reduced revenue due to the pandemic.  

DETAILS

Dates:  August 10 - 21

Entry Deadline:  August 6th 11:59 pm - FIRM DEADLINE.  We will make draws on Friday and have them out to all participants by Friday at 10 pm.  From there, participants will schedule their own matches.

Draw format:  We will play a compass draw of 8 players / teams  in each division.  If we are short, we will utilize a 4-player round robin.  PLAYERS MUST SCHEDULE THEIR OWN MATCHES WITH ATTENTION PAID TO THE DEADLINE FOR EACH ROUND TO BE COMPLETE.  The tournament will take place over the course of 12 days.  

You will play 3 rounds no matter what!  Round 1 must be played August 10-13.  Round 2 must be played August 14-17. Round 3 must be played August 18-21.  

     -  BALLS:  Both singles players, or each doubles team must bring a NEW can of tennis balls to the match.  Players will serve with and handle their own can of balls only.  (Balls are available for purchase at the office)

     - TROPHIES:  Virtual Trophies will be awarded... so easy to store!  :)


Match format:  
We will play 2 sets. Should competitors split sets, the match will be decided by a traditional match tie-break played to 10. Scoring will be regular (with-ad).


Spectators?  
Sorry, no spectators permitted.  Players will play the match and report the score directly into the ONLINE DRAW.

Family Doubles (teams comprised of players who reside in the same household)
Singles

Draws will be created using the Universal Tennis Format - that means we will do our best to create the most competitive draws possible based upon entrants independent of age or gender.
