Accessibility Challenges for Welsh Language Learners Using Assistive Technology

Thank you for your interest in this survey. Your answers will be included in a paper I am presenting at the Round Table on Information Access for People with Print Disabilities in Australia in May. As a Welsh learner who is blind, I’m writing this paper for personal interest. It is not funded, and I’m not affiliated with any research organisations or academic institutions. I hope, however, that this paper might be a catalyst for conversations around improving access to not just learning Welsh, but other minority languages.

Through the survey, I hope to paint a picture of the current accessibility barriers to learning Welsh, as well as what is working well for learners, and areas that need improvement. There will be space at the end of the survey to include additional comments if you have more to say, or if you think there’s something I’ve missed in the questions.

Your responses will be treated in the strictest of confidence. No personal information will be shared, other than in the form of aggregate survey results.

The survey has 10 questions, most of which are multiple choice or checkbox options. At the end of the survey, you may opt in to receive updates regarding the presentation and future developments.
