Please read and sign this waiver. You will not be allowed to volunteer if you do not sign.

This Release and Waiver of Liability (“Release”) is given by the undersigned volunteer (or the parent/legal guardian on behalf of such volunteer) on behalf of his/her heirs, executors and representatives (the “Volunteer”) in favor of Macon Pride, Inc. and each of its sponsors, partners, affiliates, employees, volunteers and recipients of services (collectively, “Macon Pride Parties”).

Waiver, Release and Indemnity.
In consideration of being permitted to participate in certain festival events (the "Festival") affiliated with, sponsored or hosted by Macon Pride, Inc., Volunteer hereby agrees to forever release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless all Macon Pride Parties from any and all damages, claims, actions, liability, demands and costs, including attorney fees, resulting from Volunteer’s participation with the Festival, including without limitation for or from any illness, accidents, injury or death to Volunteer or any other person, or injury to any property. Volunteer is registering for a Macon Pride Festival event during the months of September and October 2023.

Assumption of the Risk.
Volunteer acknowledges and agrees that (1) the Festival may include activities that may be hazardous to the Volunteer, (2) Volunteer’s participation is voluntary, and (3) Volunteer hereby expressly and specifically assumes the risk of injury or harm, whether caused by any act or omission, including negligence, of a Macon Pride Party or otherwise.

Medical Treatment and No Insurance.
Volunteer is not considered an employee of Macon Pride, Inc. or any of its affiliates and shall not be provided with workers' compensation coverage or any other benefits from such entities whatsoever. Volunteer understands that Macon Pride, Inc. does not carry or maintain health, medical, or disability insurance coverage for any volunteer. Volunteer does hereby release and forever discharge the Macon Pride Parties from any claim whatsoever which arises on account of any first aid, treatment or emergency service rendered in connection with Volunteer's work on the Project.

Media/Photographic Release.
Volunteer does hereby grant and convey to Macon Pride Parties all rights, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made during the Festival, which may be used for any legal purpose. Volunteer does hereby release, waive and hold harmless Macon Pride Parties from any claims or demands for royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such images or recordings.

Application of Release.
Volunteer (or his/her parent or guardian, if under age 18) has read this Release, fully understands the terms of this Release, and understands that Volunteer is giving up substantial rights, including the right to sue. Volunteer is signing this Release freely and voluntarily, and intend by such signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability as provided hereunder to the greatest extent allowed by applicable law. Volunteer agrees that this Release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law, and that if any portion of this Release is held invalid or unenforceable, all other terms or portions of this Release continue in full legal force and effect to the fullest extent permitted.
