Asian Americans in Media: More than Representation

Join us in a community learning space for screenings and discussions unpacking issues around biases, stereotypes, and other dominant power dynamics that racialize us. Together, we’ll explore our own diverse narratives, media, and creativity that empower us all to be in solidarity and thrive.

About the Facilitators: We all have strong opinions, but enjoy hearing different ones, exchanging ideas, and learning from others. We may not agree on everything, but we all respect and laugh with each other.

If you often think—“Hey, where are the Asians? Why is this movie so racist? How many times am I going to see the same story about Asians over again? I have nothing in common with these people even though they look like me.”—this is the lab for you.

Begins on January 28, 2023 and meets every 4th Saturday at 1pm PT/4pm ET

Screenings every 2nd Saturday

Facilitated by Lily, Lilly, Melinda & Nan
