2024-2025 VISD Transfer Application
Attention:  Parent and Guardian

Veribest Independent School District does accept transfer students with the absence of a transfer fee.  All people interested must fill out a transfer application.  Once the transfer application is completed and turned in, it is reviewed by the administration.  The Veribest ISD administration reviews five specific criteria before the decision to accept or deny any transfer is made:

1. Current numbers in the class of interest,

2. Previous school’s attendance record,

3. Previous school’s discipline profile,

4. Previous school’s academic records.

5. A personal interview with parent and prospective transfer student with the transfer committee.

After all of the requested information has been received and the family interview has been conducted a decision will be made on whether to accept or deny the transfer request.  It is to be understood by all transfer students that they will be expected to follow the Veribest ISD code of conduct, keep in good academic standing, and adhere to the state mandated attendance guidelines.  Falling short in one of these areas could result in denial of future transfer request.  Veribest ISD administration will constantly monitor the in-district enrollment to ensure the number of students do not conflict with the state mandated class size guidelines.

Once your transfer is received and it meets the requirements for a potential transfer, you will be contacted for an appointment to interview with the Transfer Committee.   Please bring with you the following:
a) Copy of report card(s) from the school most recently attended covering the past six 6-week (or 9-week) grading periods (PLEASE NOTE:  The report card(s) must contain number of student absences during the reporting period).
b) Copy of disciplinary history at last school for past two school years.
c) Copy of birth certificate.
d) Copy of immunization records.

A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
