ʻApoākea Native Hawaiian Innovation Institute (Infinite Reach) is a Hawaiʻi-based 501(c)(3) non-profit founded with the purpose of providing strategic and tactical solutions to issues causing and contributing to the negative consequences of disproportionality and disparity as they are suffered by socially disadvantaged and underserved communities that include, but are not limited to, Native Hawaiians and Other Pacific Islanders, Black, Indigenous, and Other People of Color, Women / Women of Color, People with Different Abilities/Disabilities, elderly and children.

Through a grant from the Womenʻs Fund of Hawaiʻi, ʻApoākea is offering a limited-time FREE online course in financial empowerment strategies for young women between the ages of 14 - 25. The goal is to equip young women with the knowledge, tools, and perspective to set them on a financially independent path from the very beginning of their financial journey, in order to ensure a better quality of life, where they can avoid the negative effects of financial dependency.

The women who have built this program are Native Hawaiian mothers, entrepreneurs, scholars, and cultural practitioners. They have experience (some hard-learned) in personal and business finance while navigating challenges faced by women in underprivledged communities.

The target population of young women who may benefit from this program include:
       - Young Women of Native Hawaiian ancestry (primarily)
       - Other Young Women of Color
       - At-risk Young Women
       - Young Women with Different Abilities
       - Young Women with Disabilities
       - LGBTQIA2S+

We are offering the course in 3 cohorts. The participants will choose one:
       Cohort 1: May 27th - June 30th (accelerated)
       Cohort 2: June 1st - July 31st
       Cohort 3: July 1st - August 31st

The course will cover basics in the following areas:
      - Budgeting & Personal Finance
      - Credit & Loans (How to use credit to your advantage)
      - Investments & Assets
      - Paying for College & Alternatives to College
      - Securing Your Information
      - Spending & Saving Strategies
      - Employment Strategies

The program also offers streamlined access to knowledge resources, practical exercises, a peer community, and mentorship. The students will be awarded a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the program.

Participation in this program will also afford the participants with opportunities to participate in ʻApoākeaʻs future programs and possibly even internships with ʻApoākea (and/or our partners).
