NESTA Webinar: "Mars: What is Your Story?"
Join your fellow teachers for this free, one-hour webinar, September 14, 2021, 7:00 pm EST, on how you can use the science of Mars in your classroom to understand our Earth. You will do it with the scientists’ tool called JMARS.

Break away from the worksheets and tests and stimulate your students’ own curiosity about this ultra-strange place that is so much like Earth, yet so mysteriously different. Students can generate their own novel questions about Mars. Then, they can determine answers themselves using JMARS.

You can use JMARS to address topics dealing with geologic history, erosion, volcanism, climate change, and address science and engineering practices such as developing models, creating investigations, interpreting data, engaging in argument.

By the end of the webinar, you will have:
1. PRACTICED using JMARS
2. ACCESSED a website with easy-to-follow directions, the online JMARS tool, and ready to use activities
3. A METHOD to address the topic of Mars and Earth concepts regardless of the time, course, level, or course requirements
