Parents & Adult Volunteers- We need you to step up and help lead our Student Ministry this Fall. Please read the following and sign up to support the work of reaching, discipling, equipping and mobilizing our students for spiritual maturity and Kingdom impact!

Vision: Soma Eastside Church has a tremendous opportunity to create a dynamic, engaging, Biblically focused, Christ honoring, discipleship oriented ministry to students as we prepare for the next Youth Pastor to fill this position.  With a spirit of humble enthusiasm and a team-oriented approach, we will see many students engage or re-engage with the Soma Eastside Youth Ministry.  

Volunteer Needs:
1) SEY: EVENTS Volunteers- Adult leaders who can help for specific one time events.  (Examples- Back Yard Worship Night, Serve & Swerve Day, Candy-Palooza, Turkey Bowl & Friends-Giving) (Need 6-8 volunteers)
Description:  We have a few events scheduled right now.  If you can help in some capacity for one or more of these events, it will lighten the burden on our Gather, Group and Grow volunteers.

2) SEY: GATHER Volunteers-  (Beginning September 26th) 1st & 3rd Sunday Night of the month. This is our main “youth group” experience. Working to help serve pizza, connect with students, lead games, facilitate a break-out group. Volunteers meet at 5:30pm. (Need 6-8 volunteers)
Description:  SEY: GATHER – All Middle School & High School students gather together on the 1st & 3rd Sunday night of the month at Soma HQ for a night of food, hanging out, games, worship, Bible teaching and break out groups!  Gather this fall will include Youth Messages focused on keys to rekindling our relationships with Christ, family and friends.

3) SEY: GROUP Volunteers-  (Beginning October 10th)  2nd and 4th Sunday Night of the month.  This is our “small group” experience.  We will need at least two adult leaders for each of these small groups.  MS Guys, MS Girls, HS Guys, HS Girls. (Need 8 volunteers).
Description:  SEY: GROUP – Students will huddle up with other students their age to go deeper with God and one another on the 2nd and 4th night of the month at Soma HQ.  Grab some food and then connect with your crew! Current Groups: MS Guys, MS Girls, HS Guys, HS Girls.  Groups will focus on reigniting community within our Student ministry and putting our faith into practice at home, school and in our lives.

4) SEY: GROW- (Beginning November 7th) Sunday mornings during the sermon time for the worship service.  This is our “Sunday Morning Youth Lesson” experience.  (Need 6-8 volunteers).
Description: SEY: GROW – On Sunday mornings, students will meet together after corporate worship (during the sermon) for a time of interactive Bible teaching.  As we did before Covid, we will designate one Sunday per month for Students to worship with their families for the entire service.  Groups will be divided into HS and MS.  Grow groups will loosely mirror the same themes that the children’s ministry is studying (this fall it will be Genesis).
