The recent killing of people in Atlanta has revealed, once again, our nation’s ugly reality of racial inequality and violence embedded in everyday life.  This time, mostly Asian Americans, especially women, fell victim to the ruthless racial violence. We invite those who identify with or are in solidarity with the AAPI community at CSUDH to participate in the upcoming restorative practice circle.

The circle spaces are an opportunity for people with direct lived experiences of anti-AAPI racism, bias, or harassment to share their stories and be in community with others who have similar experiences. These circles are a healing, processing, and community building space for AAPI who have experienced or are concerned about anti-AAPI bias or harassment related to COVID-19. There will be guided questions in a structured format, along with aspects of meditation, empathy, and solidarity with other communities of color. Those who do not identify as AAPI are welcome to attend and listen.
