Fairfield Union Local Application for Virtual Learning Academy (VLA)
Fairfield Union Local School District has entered into a partnership with Jefferson County Virtual Learning Academy (VLA) to offer a 100% online educational option for our students and families. This option will be available for the entire 2020-21 school year. It is expected that families pursuing this option commit to a minimum of a grading period (9 weeks) for the online learning. Fairfield Union teachers will manage online courses; however, teachers will not be able to assist students as frequently as students in-person within our buildings.  Students participating in this option are considered Fairfield Union students. Course offerings will be limited to those offered onsite at Fairfield Union Schools, but assignments may differ from building-based courses. To learn more about VLA please visit the following link: https://www.jcesc.k12.oh.us/VLA.aspx.

To apply for this opportunity, please complete the following application. For families with multiple children, please complete a separate application for each child in your household that will be participating in the VLA program. For more information about this program, please review the FAQ and/or contact Eydie Schilling, Curriculum Coordinator at 740-536-7384 or eydieschilling@fairfieldunion.org.

To be considered for the online school, all applications must be submitted by October 26, 2020. Once the application has been received, a confirmation will be sent to the family along with information about the online system and courses. Students must have access to a stable Internet connection.
