Graduate Assistantship Application
3.1. Eligibility for Assistantship

To be eligible for an assistantship, the student must meet the following minimum requirements:

1) The student must be an admitted, degree-seeking student at UWF.
2) The student must be enrolled in at least 6 hours of graduate coursework during fall and spring semesters and in at least 3 hours of graduate coursework in the summer semester. Continuing education courses do not count toward the minimum number of graduate hours required for eligibility for assistantship unless the courses count toward degree requirements. Continuing education courses are not eligible for waivers.
3) The student must be in good academic standing (maintain a 3.0 graduate GPA and not be on probation).

Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of training requirements within one month of the start date of your employment. Reappointment for additional terms will be based on satisfactory performance evaluations, maintaining good academic standing in this graduate program, and funding availability.
