Because the MSB campus will remain closed through the summer, MSB TRECCK for Success program will be offered virtually through Google Meet, Monday through Friday, from July 6-July 31.

TRECCK for Success is a program designed to provide instruction in the areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) for students entering 1st-12th grades in the fall.  The ECC is a vision-specific set of skills that compensate for vision loss and is foundational for all other learning.  It focuses on independence, assistive technology, vocational training, social engagement and more to prepare your child for his or her fullest life possible.  It provides a framework for specially designed instructional strategies to teach visually impaired students skills they cannot learn incidentally but are essential for success in life.  There are 9 skills areas in the ECC. This summer, MSB will provide a daily schedule of courses focusing on 5 of the Expanded Core Curriculum areas which are:  
1.Technology Skills
2. Compensatory Skills (braille and print literacy)
3. Recreation/Leisure Skills
4. Independent Living Skills
5. Career Education Skills
 
Below are course descriptions of the skills that will be addressed, the ages that will be targeted and the materials and equipment required for participation in each course.  Students will need access to a computer or iPad and the internet to participate in all course.  Assistance with obtaining materials and equipment will be provided, if needed.  Please complete the registration form and indicate the courses your child would like to participate in.  PLEASE NOTE:  ALL COURSES ARE BEING OFFERED DAILY AT DIFFERENT TIMES SO YOU CAN SIGN UP FOR AS MANY COURSES AND WEEKS AS YOUR CHILD IS INTERESTED IN!!  Once your child's registration is submitted via this form, you will receive a confirmation email. Additional information on how to access the courses through Google, course work and materials needed will be sent by June 26th.
