I hereby pledge to provide a positive attitude and be responsible for my participation in the Plain Local Youth Football League (PLYF) by following this Code of Ethics.

1. I hereby pledge to provide positive support, care and encouragement for my team.
2. I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches and officials at every game, practice, or other youth event.
3. I will place the emotional and physical well-being of the children ahead of any personal desire to win.
4. I will demand a drug, tobacco, and alcohol free sports environment for my team and agree to assist by refraining from their use at all sporting events where my team is present.
5. I will remember that the game is for the children and not for adults.
6. I will ask my team to treat other players, coaches, fans and officials with respect regardless of race, creed or ability.
7. I am aware that unsportsmanlike conduct at the game field by parents, coaches, or players will result in a 15-yard penalty. If there is any further trouble, the offender(s) will be removed from the game and a representative from the team(s) involved must be brought before the Board. This WILL be strictly enforced by the Executive Board.
8. I understand that game penalties imposed by an official resulting in the ejection of a player or coach from the game will carry an additional ONE FULL GAME SUSPENSION.
9. I understand that as a coach, profanity or abusive language will NOT be tolerated. The use of such language carries a ONE GAME SUSPENSION. The second offense is IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL.
10. I understand that the penalty for physical violence against a player or cheerleader is IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL.
11. I understand that drunkenness or usage of drugs is IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL.
12. I understand that fighting is IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL.
