Online presence and public scholarship are ways to enhance your own research and reputation and to make connections with colleagues from across campus and around the world.
In this eight-week long program, you will build on your digital presence in a cohort of colleagues with varying levels of experience and expertise, learning and troubleshooting together with the instructors.
This program is a continuation of the Introductory Digital Fellows program. This program is suited for past Fellows from any semester and for people who already have a website and are thinking comprehensively about their digital presence. If you are looking to refresh your website and are interested in diving deeper into questions about accessibility, using images, adjusting themes, and thinking about how audience affects your work, then this is the program for you.
Meeting sessions will include times for discussion of substantive topics with the majority of the meeting time set aside for hands-on time working on your digital presence.
The program is open to all faculty and staff. This is the first semester that the Advanced Fellows program has run, led by the College of Arts and Letters in collaboration with several other colleges and units on campus.
Meetings are weekly on Friday from 12:00-1:00PM. You are expected to attend all of the sessions during the semester. Meetings will take place in Project Room J in the Digital Scholarship Lab in the Main Library.
The meeting dates are: Jan 24, Jan 31, Feb 7, Feb 14, Feb 21, Feb 28, Mar 13, Mar 20.
