PSYCHOLOGY A Level Tuition Sign Up

Thank you for signing up for Ibz Mo PSYCHOLOGY Tuition.

Please ensure you read and understand the following before you proceed:

ABOUT ME:

My name is Ibrahim Mohammed. I am a Cambridge University graduate; an Oxford University Graduate and I have just completed my Masters in Law.

I achieved A*A*A in Sociology, Psychology and English A Level in 2016. I was the first person in my family to do A Levels and I attended a non-compressive sixth form where the average grades were DDD.

I have tutored Sociology A level for 6 years and A Level Psychology for 2 years. I have helped students secure places in Cambridge, Oxford, St Andrews, Kings College London and more.

When you compare my rates and take into consideration my experience and education you will find that I am one of the most valued tutors.

TUITION:

My tuition lasts for eight - nine weeks, with one class per week.

There will be 2 separate cohorts:

September 2022 – November 2022 (Cohort 1) Classes start September 29th.

November 2022 – January 2023 (Cohort 2)

If Cohort 1 is full, you can be put on a waiting list and will be prioritised for Cohort 2.

STRUCTURE OF CLASSES:

Classes will be hosted on Zoom with 6 students per class. Year 12’s are grouped together, but Year 13’s can be separated into 2 academic abilities (based on previous grades). However, this breakdown is not set and can be changed per your request. This is just my recommendation.

1) Before class, you will be given an article to read and analyse. It is not obliged but recommended to bring your thoughts on the article to the following class.

2) Classes are 60 - 75 minutes long. There is a 5-minute break halfway and a 15-minute slot dedicated for Q&As.

3) After the class, you will receive a link with a recording of the class, a written transcript of that recording, PowerPoint slides, a feedback form and essay exemplars.

4) You will have the chance to submit (as a minimum) one full essay. The title of which can be decided by you, or by me. This is due in the 4th week and will be marked and edited by me. Alternatively, you can submit a personal statement.

5) Outside of class, there will be a monitored WhatsApp group chat per Cohort. The WhatsApp group will be used to send reminders about lessons, and payments, share interesting articles and mainly for students to ask questions about the A Level. I will reply with detailed answers by the Friday of each week.

6) IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE, a tutor is NOT a teacher. I will not be teaching you content, but fine tuning, revisiting, and helping you structure the content for an exam. A tutor is not a replacement for a teacher, and so you will still be expected to read chapters in your text book, and you will be expected to at least read 1 extra chapter per week.

The following topics will be covered:
