Please use this form to sign-up for YouthForce Internships' Mock Networking Event on June 7, 2019.  Student-interns will be broken into two groups, so there are two opportunities to participate. Both opportunities will take place at Pan Am building, 601 Poydras St on the 11th floor.

Option #1 = Friday, June 7 at 9:45-10:45 am
Option #2 = Friday, June 7 at 12:00-1:00 pm

What is YouthForce Internships?

YouthForce Internships (YFI) is one of YouthForce NOLA's programs, where rising seniors go through 60 hours of professional training and 90 hours of meaningful work experience.

What is Mock Networking?

Mock Networking is a practice networking opportunity that is part of the larger YouthForce Internships program. The Mock Networking event allows youth an opportunity to practice networking with local business professionals before they meet with potential internship employers.

What do we hope to achieve?

We hope students are able to develop their networking skills and become comfortable communicating with adults in a professional setting. During the YouthForce Internships program, participating youth will have many opportunities to develop their professional networks and make positive impressions on possible future employers. This event teaches youth to introduce themselves in a professional setting, give a proper handshake, engage in conversation and small talk with adults and peers during networking events, and maintain eye contact during conversations.
