The purpose of Orthodox Youth Mission Team (OYMT) is to serve God by working on missions within our parishes and through outreach into our communities, country and world. The talent and efforts of each person are essential to accomplish this mission All participants are expected to make the following commitments:
- Attend ALL team training sessions. More than one unexcused absence will result in expulsion from the team
- Participate in all fundraising activities
- Attend mandatory construction skills and safety training
- Sell a minimum of 50 shares of stock to support our mission work
- Provide permission slips and waivers as required by requested deadline
- Contribute payments towards the cost of any mission work
I agree to participate meaningfully in the preparations and training for the workday and work trip and to complete each of the required activities.
A spirit of cooperation, a respectful attitude and consideration for others are essential to the success of these projects. I agree to bring such a spirit to the mission work. I will respect the authority of all OYMT leaders, I agree to abide by our mission team rules and policies at all times, during training, fundraising and on the work trip. I understand that failure to do so may result in my being asked to leave the team. If deemed necessary, I will be sent home from the trip at my parents' expense.
I agree to have fun, work hard and share God's love with each other and the people we meet during our mission work.
