The Ride:
John Adderley will be leading a ride to Squires, starting early from Leicester North Services, with a run up to Newark via the A46. From there the group will cut across to Gainsborough for the first stop and then
head towards Bawtry and up past the old Robin Hood airport to Thorne . From there onto Selby via Snaith and Camblesforth and across the back roads to Sherburn in Elmet and Squires cafe.
After lunch the group will head east for the Humber bridge and then down Ermin street, adjacent to the A15 as it's much nicer and head into Lincoln, near where there's a great pub by the river for a break and food if anyone wants to, before heading back to Leicester via the A46
It's a full on day, you will need to be ride fit. Depending on breaks the ride will finish at Leicester North Services by around 6pm.
Departing from:
Leicester North Services.
Arrive by 8:30am for a briefing at 8:40am and the ride will be leaving at 9am sharp.
Aim to arrive with a full tank of fuel as the ride will be on smaller roads where there will not be any petrol stations. We also recommend that all riders wear a hi vis vest or jacket, as this helps spot the marker. Tail End Charlie will be wearing pink high viz.
Riding Standards:
The ride will be to IAM RoadSmart standards, with breaks after approximately one and a half hours' riding. As this is a long ride, the group will be limited to 12 motorcycles only, on a first booked basis. You must be bike fit and able to ride for the full day.
Who can join:
The ride is open to current LADAM members only. If you are an Associate and would like to join, please speak to your Observer. Pillions are welcome (don't need to be LADAM members).
