The Dept of Public Art paints murals on plywood panels for specific locations as well as murals on buildings. Where possible, the painting will be in public and volunteers can help. Artists (or groups of artists) will be selected for designs for each site and will be paid for their work. Fill out the form below and you will be added to our mailing list; submission of the form gives us permission to add you to our mailing list which includes a weekly progressive news/event post from the binghamtonbridge.
Watch for Alerts: As we get permissions for different sites we will post the mural specifications in a pdf, including payment information, here, at
www.binghamtonbridge.org and in newsletters. To be considered, submit a rendering and written description of your idea for the mural in the form below or email it to
DeptofPublicArt@gmail.com by the deadline indicated in the pdf.
We are looking for buildings that are boarded up, vacant, or that will accept a mural panel. If you see a building in your neighborhood, please send us the address and any other details, and if you can a picture, to deptofpublicart@gmail.com. We will also consider glass painting. We need permission from the owner so if you know of a building or interested property owner, please send us the address and any other details, and if you can, a picture, to deptofpublicart@gmail.com. We have two or three sites that are appropriate for a mural (not mural panels) but we currently have no funding for those. Contact us for more information.
