Start Your Tech career in 2021!

Rebound is a Career Comeback program specially designed for women to help them step into careers that are tech related. It is also designed to help you start  a venture or support your existing one with greater technology adoption.

Designed and delivered by TechSprint Academy (Malaysia’s first women only coding academy) and supported by The Asia Foundation, Rebound aims to help Malaysian women discover new career and economic opportunities in the 21st century.

Rebound was launched in 2020 and under Phase 1 we have had nearly 450 attendees at our various programs from October 2020 to March 2021. Many have gone back to careers or started small ventures. We have also successfully trained 6 women from a non-coding background into Software Developers through our Breakthrough - Full Stack Development Bootcamp. We are ready to kick off Phase 2 in 2021 with more exciting programs to open up more opportunities for women! Are you Ready?
 
Rebound comprises a series of programs under Reboot, Step-Up and Breakthrough designed to address the variety of hurdles women may face during their careers, including taking breaks to start families and gender-stereotypes discouraging women from taking on certain roles and careers. Rebound helps you to re-skill or up-skill and make a strong comeback to the workforce! All the programs adopt a project based learning approach and are led by industry practitioners.

Reboot are 4 day programs that focus on YOU to help you chart a new path through the Career and Entrepreneurship tracks.

Step-Up sessions comprise short What's That? sessions and longer 3-5 day Workshops. What's That? Sessions are intended to introduce you to new areas in technology. The Workshops are next level programs that help you to learn skillsets that can help improve your employability or enable you to implement in your business.

The Breakthrough program is an intense 14 Week FULL TIME (Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 6pm) Full Stack Web Development Bootcamp that will help transform YOU from a non-coder into a Software Developer. This program is delivered in collaboration with CodeOp, Spain. Our 6 Breakthrough participants from Phase 1 who graduated in February 2021 have all found employment or internships as Software Developers and you can view their profiles at https://www.rebound.asia/cohort.

You can choose to do ALL the levels of the programs - meaning you can enroll in a Reboot Course and also apply to as many of the Step Up Programs or Breakthrough as you like. Please choose according to your interest.

In view of the ongoing pandemic and lockdowns, all programs will be run virtually, and available to Malaysians nationwide, so connectivity is critical to both selection and participation.

Submitting an application does not guarantee a place in the program. Participants will be shortlisted according to submissions received, and may be followed up by additional questions/interviews or assessments. Successful applicants will be contacted to confirm their place in a program and to confirm dates of participation.

There are NO tuition or program fees for Reboot and Step-Up. Breakthrough programs have nominal fees payable and this will be decided on a case by case basis. Confirmed participants are obliged to attend ALL  modules/days of their programs, complete course work and are expected to fulfill post-program deliverables.
