Oregon is drafting a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) framework and standards for K-12 students that will be implemented by districts in July 2024.
The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) has been facilitating the House Bill 2166 Phase 2 SEL Advisory Group to create a draft of the Social and Emotional Learning framework and standards that will be proposed for adoption to the State Board of Education on May 18, 2023.

ODE is at a pivotal point in the process and needs your feedback. Your voice is important and will be considered by the Phase 2 SEL Advisory Group as they finalize the SEL standards and framework for adoption that will be integrated across K-12 content areas and throughout the school day. Participation in the survey is voluntary, and responses are anonymous and subject to public record.
The survey window is from Friday, March 17 - Friday, April 7, 2023 @ 11:59 pm PST.
