Community is everything. This is a program built around encouragement and support! You listen to others share their songs and you bring a song of your own.
You can be a great songwriter who writes beautiful songs and finishes them. The feeling that comes from the completion of a song is priceless.Â
You will work one-on-one with me (Anne) on your songs in group calls as well as special one-on-one sessions.
Gain practical tools to build your confidence and ability as a songwriter: Everything from writing lyrics you like better to establishing a songwriting practice to befriending your inner critic (but not letting it be in charge!).
You will write a song(s) and finish it, guaranteed. You may write a few songs!
You will learn from hearing other songwriters sharing their music and stories. When you share, you grow!
If you continue to tell yourself that you are not good at songwriting, that your songs are not original, that they are juvenile, etc, etc. then the songs won’t cooperate. With good support and new skills, your songwriting will flow like never before.
If you allow yourself the joy of your creativity without harsh judgement, you will write good songs utilizing all of your unique talents. By GOOD, I mean important and meaningful to you. Songs written from the heart can't help but touch others as well.Â
HOW THE COURSE WORKS:
We begin JANUARY 2024Â Â - *ONLY TEN SPOTS TOTAL AND FILLING UP*Â and run for EIGHT WEEKS
1) ONE group coaching call every week via Zoom:
- A one-hour call on varying evenings designed to fit the group's different schedules (not on Friday or Saturday), you will receive the schedule of calls a few weeks in advance of the class starting
- These calls include instruction and sharing by Anne, highly inspirational!
- Plus you will have the opportunity to sign-up to share a song(s) with the group, a safe and incredibly valuable experience to improve your songwriting and confidence
- These special weekly calls build community and a supportive network for everyone's songwriting
2) TWO special one-on-one private coaching sessions with Anne working directly on your songs
3) Bonus Class: We will also have a guest songwriter come and share their process with a Q&A, these are highly inspirational!
4) Pre-Recorded teaching videos each week with more songwriting tips and skills from Anne.
