Our final fundraiser for Covecrest will be a 50/50 raffle. Teens are invited to participate in this final fundraiser by selling tickets after Masses and on your own time,.
Here’s how it will work
1) Tickets sales will be open from Wednesday May 11 until Sunday May 22. You can pick up tickets and pens in the front office, from me in Stuardi, or before Masses on the 15th and 22nd. We will have an opportunity for ticket sales after all Masses on 5/14, 5/15, 5/21, and 5/22. People can purchase as many tickets as they like. We will sell our tickets for $2 for 1 ticket, $5 for 3 tickets, or $15 for 10 tickets. The goal is to sell as many as we can! For every ticket you sell, you will get half the amount collected. The other half will go to the pot for the winner!
2) Everyone who purchases a ticket must write their name and phone number legibly on each ticket stub. They will keep the half that says “Keep this coupon” and give you the one that says “ticket.” If they do not write their name and number on the stub we will not be able to contact them telling them they have won.
3) Collect money and ticket stubs. DO NOT LOSE THE TICKET STUBS.
4) All tickets and money are due to me by 6:30 on Sunday, May 22.
5) The winner will be drawn Live on our Instagram on Sunday 5/22, during Life Teen. We will call the winner, and they will then have 24 hours to call to claim their prize. If we don’t hear from the winner in 24 hours of the drawing, a new winner will be selected. The prize is 50% of the collected money. A check will be written for them to be picked up from the front office.
6) Teens will receive 50% of the amount they sell. This means the more you sell, the more you make for your scholarship! Advertise on social media, bring it to your school, ask your friends and larger community. If someone gives you a tip without wanting a ticket, keep that money separate as you get to keep 100% of your tips!

I am looking for 5 volunteers to speak at one of the Masses on 5/14 and 5/15, to share a bit about why you are going on Covecrest and on how the 50/50 raffle works. I will write up part of what you say, and you will write up a few words on how Covecrest impacted you last year and/or why you are going this year. Those who speak at Mass will receive an extra $15 towards their scholarship fund.
